I’m Ali. My first experience of yoga was aged 19, over 35 years ago. I have loved it ever since.
What struck me then, still drives my passion today: the sense of openness and calm that yoga brings to body and mind.
I’m particularly interested in the mental health benefits of a yoga practise. Initially I trained in children’s yoga, hoping to plant the seed of yoga, helping youngsters to manage emotions, move their body and gain self-confidence; qualities they’ll be able to carry through life.
I went on to train as a fully accredited adult yoga teacher (200 hours), aged 53, going on to take specialist 40 hour trainings in Teen, Yin and Menopause yoga.
My own menopause transition has not been an easy one, like many women. I’m committed to helping other women navigate this stage feeling better supported.
I believe yoga and its philosophy is for every stage of life. It’s important to find the right style for you at the right time; bringing you back to yourself and an inner calm, through movement, connection, nurture and rest.
